Custom hole diameter in thread

Hello,

I would like to change threaded hole inner diameter. Since we are pre-cutting holes for thread with laser and the surface of hole is being hardened with the heat we need to make cutted hole a little bit bigger than standard threaded hole so we don't destroy tool. In pictures below you can see that standard metric M12x1,75 thread has inner diameter 10,106mm. We need to change it to 10,3mm. Where can I change those dimensions?

Thank you for your response.

Hi @Daniel_Stach94,

Are you talking about the thread spreadsheet? See below for a link explaining how Inventor stores data in a spreadsheet for the hole command. You should be able to open this special spreadsheet to change the diameter you are talking about.

There is an Excel file that specifies most of that data, acording to which Standards you're set to.

In Windows 7, it is at the following location.  (Just adjust the Inventor version, and possibly the Language folder, if needed.)

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor XXXX\Design Data\XLS\en-US\thread.xls

If I were you though, I'd make a copy of it to save, so you don't mess-up your original.
