Creating a base view of a random positioned pipe.

Hi,

I'm new to creating drawings via the API and would like to learn. The first step is to place a pipe on the drawing as base view and dimension it.

Difficulty is that the pipe is randomly placed in the XYZ coordinates and I will need to determinate the side view of the pipe. How do I start?

The pipe will have at least 2 cylindrical faces and 1 flat face ( pipe section ), the other side can be flat or cutted with a radius or slope.
