changs style , and share over vault

one user(not the one that create it) it work ok after download it  , other did not  and got this error

anyone know what can cause this error ? on computer that share designe data over vault ? and not cause it on all computers ?

Hi @Darkforce_the_ilogic_guy.  I don't have Vault, so I'm no expert there, but it looks like all the files mentioned in those error notes are located on C:/ drive.  That usually means they are 'locally stored' files (on each computer).  Is it possible that these files aren't all exactly the same on all computers and maybe not all in the same places & file names on all computers involved?  Do you normally point to a shared drive/folder on a network/server for these resources?  If so, maybe somehow those settings got lost/corrupted, so now it's looking for these resources locally?  Are all users, on all computers using the same version of Inventor (Inventor 2020)?  If not, that part of the file paths may be different on different computers.  Just some thoughts.

On first cut it seems like error becasue of lost data from "Design Data" folder. Try one thing, copy the whole folder from the user where it works fine and paste/overwrite in the user where you face the issue. Restart the system and try to open!

 

Not the best way to do it, but you may try it might work 😉

the way vault work is kind like dropbox the data is on a server .but it download the data to the local computer .

 

so yes the data is local , but the data get share with form a server. 

 

but in vault you have to ask for getting the data. and if you want to change anything you have to ask the right to change it.

 

 

We might have fix the problem by delete the weld file and redownload it ... but I have to wait and see it the problem stay away for good... _The funny thing is that vault said the user already have the up to date version . so nothing should have change but so far it seens to have done anyway
