Change Material names to upper case

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums and I do have little knowledge of VBA scripts.

I have changed all my material names into Upper case in material library. Now, all the parts are showing their materials in Physical properties tab as BLANK. As attched. But, the value returning with some material.

odoccompdef.material.name

Is there any alternate way to change my material names into upper case and all the existing parts need to be updated accordingly??

Manual process, will be as shown below.

Material> Select Material/ RMB> Rename> Assign New Name> Open Part> iProperties> Select Material from the list.

Hi Deva,

Can you let me which Inventor version you are using? Can you add your code here for us to understand how you use it? If you are using Inventor 2015 you may notice that we now use Asset instead of Material in API.
