Building an assembly

So I want to create a form that has predetermined sub assemblies that are then placed in a larger main assembly.  Anyone ever done this?  Can I do it and have to sub assemblies be placed in the correct place?

You can use the Occurrences.Add method which also lets you specify the transformation matrix to be used for the placement:
