Bug with the option recovery "All Model Dimensions" when create a drawing view

Hello,

I am an ADN member, but I can't connect to my ADN account, so I will post the "bug" I have discovered here.

It concern  the option recovery "All Model Dimensions" when create a drawing view from a piece. When we import the model dimensions from view creation, it is not possible to link a symbol to the dimension. The problem seems to be due to the fact, the DimensionLine property of the imported dimensions does not contains a LineSegment2d, but a LineSegment.

Strangely, it work correctely if we do not import the model dimensions from the view creation, but import it later from the "Retrieve Model Annotations" functionnality in the "Annotate" environment of the drawing document.

Please can you tell me if it's a bug or not, and what solution I can apply to link symbol when a dimension have a LineSegment type for her DimensionLine property?

Thank you very much.

PS : You will find a complete example of the problem in attachment.

I can see the problem with your data, but seems I could not reproduce the same data here, I recover the model dimensions when create the base view, it works well here. I am using the 2019.1 version.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply!

Could you please send me your test file so that I can test on my side to see if the problem comes from my Inventor environment?

I am also in 2019.1 version.

Thank you very much!

I just used your data to create a new base view and recover the model dimensions with it, the dimension works well, I can attach a leader text to it in UI. I tested with couple of machines with the 2019.1 version, and they both work well. Can you capture a video with the workflow?

I created the drawing directly and then place a base view, but your workflow is to use the Create Drawing View command from part, they cause different behavior, I think the Create Drawing View may have some problem, I will log a bug for it. You can use the New command to create a drawing and then place a base view as workaround.
