This is only my first Inventor app, but I was asked to see if I can port my app into Apprentice server. I havent found much on it for documentation, but at first glance, it seems to be an "ObjectDBX" type of thing...
without knowing its capabilities, I dont want to start down a road and find out I hit a dead end. In my current app, I need to do the following:
1) Open an assembly and get all the components
2) read custom props
3) grab the partdoc from the component, and, if sheet metal, unfold it
4) create a derived part from the original, whether sheet metal or not
5) access TransientGeometry / matrices to rotate the dumb model in 3d space
6) access the face/edge/tesselation data to recreate the model as surfaces in the calling application.
if anyone knows if it specifically CANT do any of these, or knows where i can access an sdk for this, id greatly appreciate it ...
