Inventor renames some parts (not all) when placing an iLogic assembly
Hello again.
I run into something placing assemblies as iLogic components.
Sometimes the parts of the placed assembly are renamed with the index number as a suffix. When I say renamed is in the parts browser, I don't care the file names. The problem is that with the names changed, rules don't work because parts are not found (because rules keep names without the index suffix).
The weird thing is that not all the parts are renamed. Some are and some aren't. The weirdest thing is that I did this many times and every time the same parts are the ones that are renamed (and the ones that are not), but this changes if I place the original files in a different folder in the same disk. So far I couldn't find the logic behind this.
I'm attaching sample files. The main one is CAJONERA.IAM (from CAJONERA.ZIP), that's the one I place as iLogic.
Right now I have those in certain folder in my disk and every part gets the index suffix but CJLADO (within CAJON.IAM). When preparing this post I created a test assembly in a folder and placed the original files in a subfolder and none of the parts were renamed. In the same assembly I placed as iLogic using the original copy somewhere else in the disk and parts were renamed. Both source files are exact copies from a folder to another.
I'm also attaching TEST.ZIP so you can see the parts renamed and rules not working. You'll find a form in CAJONERA.IAM that makes size changes to the drawers and triggers the rule that is failing to find the parts.
I hope I made myself clear. Feel free to ask whatever you don't get. Thanks in advance
