Active dimension style not the default

I have modified a standard based on a Default Standard (iso) with in this I have a modified a dimension style default (iso) to Fielders Dim. This is the only style selected and fielders is the active standard.

This is all done in the template .idw file in a read write project file, and saved as a style. It did save as it said if you click yes to continue it cant be undone or something along these lines.

When I select new idw file & drop in a part and dimension it, it comes up as default Iso dim style not the fielders one. If I want the fielders one I have to select it after I push the dimension button then under format on the ribbon select fielders from the style drop down.

A couple of screen shots are attached.

This is Inventor Professional 2015.

Any Ideas?

Is your Object Defaults set in your Fielders style?

To check, open your template file, go to Style Editor. Under the "Object Default ", select your Fielders style. On the right check each of the dimension object type to make sure it is set  to the proper style. Even if the style is not "Available" it still can be assign as the object defautl.

Be careful, there are many dimension objects types...

Hope that is helpful.
