Support for multibodies in Nastran In-CAD

Support for multibodies in Nastran In-CAD

I find it easier to create models as multibodies when my purpose is buliding a quick test case for debugging or benchmarking my simulation.

Currently, if I need to experiment simulations involving more than one body, I need to create an assembly in Inventor.

Please add support for multibodies like in Fusion 360:

Or Inventor Professional Simulation:

Would speed up simulation debugging work very significantly.

For me is the same problem in Solidworks.

I need a products from different materials. Multibodies are very handy.

When I make a assembly from multibody and after simulation change the geometry  sometimes Nastran InCad  forget's some simulation information (like load sets or custom plot sets).

I have the same issues. Autodesk Simulation Mechanical treated multi-body parts the same as it would an assembly when imported from inventor. I would drive a fab assembly into a multi-body part and do my pre-processing in inventor to streamline my design workflow. This method is very difficult to implement in Nastran In-Cad due to the lack of Post-Processing support for multi-bodies.

Would also be extremely useful for modelling thick composite laminates.

If there is more than one solid body in the inventror part, then one would expect that they could have separate meshes and separate material properties, for example a  multi-core cable in an elastic medium.
