Save preferences in results display options.
I would like to see an option where we could save our preferences for viewing results (globally so the default is saved for every new analysis). It's a pain having to reset them every time.
One other thing I've noticed that should be fixed. If I run an analysis and then set everything the way I want to see it. Then change something and run the analysis again, it re-sets a lot of the view choices to seemingly random things. For instance it goes from viewing von mises to displacement and the when I go back to von mises the min max values are reset to auto instead of what I set them to before. Also, the whole process is too slow. View response is very sluggish.
agreed agreed agreed. Plots need to be redefined even after close and re-open of the same analysis. This has already cost me many hours of labor over the last couple of years.
Also incredibly annoying having to hide part models, Mesh Control indicators, Loads, and Constraints...every single time a plot is changed! And if you change it from the Options menu (as OP showed in picture), I have to click the Contour and Deformed buttons again (not to mention my assembly view representation has somehow fantomly changed (e.g. planes etc.). And I still don't quite understand the difference between the assembly part visibility and Nastran model tree visibility.
I wish the FEA visibility settings could be saved to the assembly view representations or maybe even some sort of FEA view representations.
Agree to all of the above. Annoying to always change rendering to "Fringe" and reduce the number of "Levels" to 10 or less. Please include these options in the default settings. Optionally, improve the "Plot Templates" feature to something that is more useful.
Agree to all the above. Like if I do a local mesh control and turn off the visibility so all the tick marks are not shown in the results or even change to "deformed" or if I re-run the analysis, I have to turn them off again. So frustrating. Also when I turn off the visibility of "excluded components", I have to turn them off again after the analysis is ran.
