The "Continuous Meshing" checkbox is only for shell element, but the explanation of online help is as followings;
This checkbox will enable the continuous meshing in case of Shell elements and it will merge the nodes within the tolerance specified for Solid elements.
My colleague sometimes have a misunderstanding that the option can be effectively used for solid elements.
