Shaft moment analyse

Hello guys, i woudl like to make shaft moment analyse. I made an analytic calculation for shaft with 2 motors (png 1) and want to compare my analytic results with FEM results of moment. I created assembly (png 2) by 3 elements and I used rigid body connectors point at center on motors on which I applied torque, but i got lots of errors and totally stupid results. Can u give me advice how to make this kind of simulations, and how to create moment plot in nastran?

Thank you in advance! Rafał

Hi @rafaloficial . Welcome to Inventor Nastran.

Beam elements are the only type of elements that will give a moment diagram. You need to use beam elements for this analysis. See this forum post for an example: Solved: Beam diagram - Beam moment END A-Y Plane 2 always shows "+" when "-" is correct and opposite....

To be able to create the moment diagram, you need to output the forces. Note 1 in this article indicates how to do that: How to understand results in beam and bar elements in Inventor Nastran (autodesk.com)

You may want to tell us what errors and unrealistic results you were getting. Chances are you will encounter similar problems in other models that you are doing. Including the model can be helpful.
