Random vibration table units

I'm having a problem with the units (or lack of) used in random vibration setup.  I entered all of my information per the customer PSD in the Dynamics Setup using PSD (Accel) vs Frequency.  The units are g^2/Hz as shown in the first figure.

But, when I go back to edit or view the table I see numbers that make no sense.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the "Magnitude (in/s2)" that I entered in the Load.  G=386.22 in/s2 for accel in x.

Also, this isn't the only place in In-CAD where I have been confused by units.  We have to guess the units on the results plots for things like Maximum Linear Acceleration Versus Frequency.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can make no sense of this.  Also, while on the subject, please have someone address the table filling method.  Currently you have to double click on each cell to enter values instead of simply hitting enter to continue to the next row.  That makes entering data like above extremely tedious.

Thanks

Hi Carlson,

I was able to reproduce the problem that you described. It occured for me when I  changed the model unit system after entering in the chart data, is the workflow that you also used? We try to automatically update entered values when converting between different unit system, although in the case of G we should not be converting because G is a constant. Because this is the case, I would recommend setting up your unit system first before entering the PSD data. Additionally, I will go ahead and submit a change request for this issue to our development team.

As far as entering data in tables, you can use Tab instead of Enter to switch to the next cell quickly. If you'd like to see some different behavior for entering table data then I recommend that you create an IdeaStation post. The IdeaStation is where customers can request new functionality and enhancements for their products.

It is an answer but not a solution.  I frequently need to produce results in both SI and English units for customers.  So I need the ability to go back and forth between units without tables getting messed up.  Thank you for passing this on to development.
