Obtaining Reaction Forces on a vehicles mounting locations or similar?

Hi,

I am looking to obtain realistic reaction forces on a tow bars mounting points on a vehicles chassis.

The current method involves adding a fixed constraint to these hole locations but the results don't seem accurate.

Is there any recommendations on how to constrain these holes to obtain a correct reaction force?

A load is applied to the tow ball in the three different directions X,Y,Z.

Also how to confirm Negative or positive signs in relation to a compression or tension force on the bolts or locations?

Hi @Anonymous ,

It is often difficult to understand without a 3D model, but ... Would a Rigid Connector help you in this situation? Add the Rigid Connector with the Point At Center option.

This will create a work point in your model. You can then add a Constraint at this work point. After you have performed the analysis you can click the Constraint in the Analysis sub-tree with your right mouse button and request the SPC-Summation. Is this what you are looking for? If not, can you explain the situation further?
