Half pipe Limpet coil on shell

Dear Experts,

I am looking for solution in Analysis of Half pipe Limpet coil analysis which is welded on cylindrical shell, I can select the inner face of Limpet coil but how to apply pressure on outside of shell portion which is within the Limpet area.

You have to split the face of the shell with Inventor's Split command, option Split Face.

To try which is the best way to do so, it would be helpful, if you attach the model here.

BTW: Your picture looks like a solid model. Probably it is a good idea to use shell idealization here.

What i is observed is splitted part gives different result than the single unsplitted part.

So if i split the limpet area that would give result considering the spiral strip where we need result for single shell.

Of course the splitted part gives a different result than the unsplitted part. Maybe I don't understand what you are after.
