I have a doubt about the mesh control, everytime thaht I close the the Nastran Incad model and open again; I recieve this message that Mesh Control - Error.PNG

I was thinking that it happens because the part assembly, but I didn't modify the part that has the faces with mesh control.

Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Hello @Anonymous,

can you put the screenshot showing the model tree in Nastran In-CAD?

Could you also check if there are any extra idealized surfaces. If so, they need to be deleted.

Regards,

Shigeaki K.

Hello @shigeaki.k

The assembly tree is next

And the nastran model tree is below.

I don't know how I check the idealized surfaces, can you explain?

Thank you!!!

Hi @Anonymous

What geometry is Mesh Control 3 applied to? The software is telling you that the geometry no longer exists in the analysis.

If Mesh Control 3 is not used, then delete it!

Hello @Anonymous,

I mistakenly thought that you were using mid-surfaces or offset surfaces. So you can ignore my comment about the idealized surface.

After looking at the screenshots, my answer will be the same as John's. If his answer was able to solve your problem, could you accept his posting as a solution? Would be much appreciated.

 Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for the image. I can almost see it. Smiley Happy (But since I am using Internet Explorer, I cannot magnify the image to see it clearly. Smiley Sad)

What we need to see is the dialog box for mesh control 3 showing all of the faces that are assigned to the mesh control. One or more of the faces listed in the box on the dialog is probably in red which indicates the problem -- that face no longer exists in the model because the model was changed. The message is trying to tell you that you have applied the mesh control to one or more faces that no longer exists. (If there are more than 2 or 3 faces in the mesh control, you need to scroll up or down in the box to find the face that is causing the problem. Or you can clear all of the faces from the selection (right-click in the box and choose "Clear All") and start again.)

Hello John.

Thank you very much. The problem with the mesh control was solved. I cleared all faces, and selected again.

But now I have the problem below:

Mesh Detail.png

There is a peak of tension, and I couldn't solve.

What do you think that it is happening?

Thank you!
