When working with sketch driven patterns, within the Autodesk Inventor Software, you often use points based on a wire of lines, as you can see in this 2d sketch.
Putting Sketchpoints on each crossing of a 2d line and another 2d line, manually, is very time consuming, in special when a bunch is needed.
I have created this add-in for Autodesk Inventor to simplify this task.
With this add in, and command called: "add points between 2d line and 2d lines" this can be done very quick.
You can also see that there are no points added to the sketch when the line intersecting with is a construction line.
The sketch driven pattern is updated by adding the extrude feature to the points.
You also see here that there were some points not added, because the sketchline intersection was containing construction lines, and therefore no points were added.
The same is the case when working with sketch driven patterns in 3d sketches, within the Autodesk Inventor Software.
Also then you often use points based on a wire of lines, as you can see in this 3d sketch.
Putting Sketchpoints on each crossing of a 3d line and 3d Circles, manually, is very time consuming, in special when a bunch is needed.
With this add in, and command called: "add points between Line3d-Circles3d" this can be done also very quick.
Maybe this is a good idea for implementation in future releases.
