Vault/Browser Integration

Vault/Browser Integration

Does the Vault browser really need to be a seperate window?

Couldn't we just add the colored dot next to each part in the main browser?

Great idea!

Hopefully the model browser finally got to based on columns as in fex. theVault grid so we can add all our necessary  information we need into it. As fex Description, part number, rev number, materials and all other information we normally need all the time working on models in Inventor. Autodesk, look into Siemens NX brilliant browser and grab all the good functionality they have in i on single configurable browser!

Not to throw a wrench in the works but the majority of my time is spent in the model and not doing anything with the model tree (model + Vault tree) so why not make it hidden like you can do with the task bar?  As soon as you move your mouse pointer to the left (or where ever you have it docked) have it fly out.  I sure as h3ll would appreciate the extra 15% of my modeling window back (and yes, I measured it and my model tree section takes up 15% of my design space).

This small orange glyph could be overlaid on the existing component icons in the model tree. This option would save display real estate.
