Just as the title says: Right now I can pick a planar face to trim a frame member. I can also pick a curved surface of another frame member. But not a curved face of a different part. A use case would be the strut for a cylindrical vessel.
I use the Online Thread Modeler program to do this. From what I have read, this program does a fair but not great job in modeling real threads. I recommend Autodesk get their act together and fix and add this to Inventor.
