When the Use iMates command is activated while placing a component in a large assembly with many other iMates, Inventor takes a long time to do calculations before the user is allowed to place anything. Furthermore, if the user forgets to turn off the setting during the previous placement, they could accidentally active the long loading time again when they place the next one. It shouldn't take this long! Below is a Screencast showing what I am talking about. In this case, however, Inventor crashed on me. It usually takes Inventor about 2 minutes before I am able to interact with it again and place components.
Furthermore, using the Use iMates command is clunky and you have to cycle through every component. Instead, when this command is activated, and when the user mouses over another component with similar iMates, it should automatically snap to it. The user should then be able to cycle through the iMates with the up arrow similar to the Grip Snap command. When the user clicks, it is inserted, but if the user moves the mouse off the component, it automatically unsnaps and follows the cursor as usual.
