Enable users to interactively choose which components (parts, assemblies, subassemblies) to import from a Reference Model using a visual interface—either via model browser or directly in model space. This allows creation of hybrid models combining referenced and imported geometry.

• Interactive Selection Tool

  • Click parts/subassemblies in model space or browser tree

  • Right-click > “Import to Model”

• Hybrid Representation

  • Imported elements become editable and fully native

  • Remaining items stay as lightweight reference

• Auto-Hide Imported from Reference (optional toggle)

  • Once imported, those components are auto-hidden in reference browser

  • Prevents duplication in graphics and tree

• Visual Cues

  • Clear color or icon distinction between referenced and imported parts
