When components are modified in an assembly (e.g. changed part geometry, shifted bore positions), all existing screw connections created with the Design Accelerator need to be updated manually — one by one via "Edit with Design Accelerator". The "Recreate All" option does not reliably update the connections in this context.
Feature Request:
A function to update all screw connections in an assembly at once, automatically re-aligning them based on the current bore position and orientation, and adjusting the screw length accordingly — without requiring each connection to be opened and confirmed individually.
Expected behavior:
- Detect changed bore positions/orientations
- Re-align screw connection axis and position automatically
- Recalculate and update screw length based on current component stack
- Apply to all connections in the assembly in one step
This would significantly reduce manual effort in assemblies with many screw connections whenever components are revised.
Tested in Inventor 2026 and 2027 — behavior is identical in both versions.
