If you have to click a tab to get to a command and then click back the tab you was on that I never had to click before how is that convenient?
If I have to travel a mile to get to the command how is that convenient? And do it many times. If I am in sketch and I want a view option change I have to travel to click the tab move over to the command execute the command then travel back to a tab to change back to what I was doing.
The two panels in classic had everything you needed.
If it is so convenient why does Autocad still have it's classic?
Mik i kinda suspect your comment was meant to be inflamatory.
we are all people who see and use things in a manner that is unique to us. if you like the ribbon then that is great. personally i think it takes many more clicks to get to the function than the classic interface.
rather then debate over which is better, why don't we just allow customisable funtionality of the ribbon to allow users to establish a layout and system that suits their own workflow instead of have one system based upon someones idea of what is best.
i have asked for that in a separate post so as to try to provide a somewhat positive thought on the topic. lets not try to disregard people who prefer one style of interface over another.
by the way, has anyone noticed that the various ideas posted about interface issues not be implemented yet over the past several versions the issues surrounding interface has made the software very painful. what are these devs thinking. i would have thought interface be at the top end of importance and focus.
ps- sad to see that autocad devs have killed off the classic in acad 2015 & onwards. now we have (to me at least) 2x much slow pieces of software (interface wise).
i would have thought that a company the size of AD could afford to have at least one employee who looks after classic interface. i do notice though that there are many many... many managers at AD. maybe that is related the problem. could it be considered perhaps to swap some of those managers with workers and we may get better use of resources?
