It would be realy nice if Inventor could do a pattern of a geometry (in a sketch), a feature/body (within a part) and a part (within an assembly) along a shape. For example, if you draw something, model up something or place a component, that inventor could spread this evenly along a continuous shape (spline, rectangle perimeter...etc).
And it also would be wonderful if Inventor could be able to pattern around a perimeter. Bear with me...
If you for example have geometry, features or part spread evenly along a rectangle, that you could do an additional pattern based on an offset of the rectangle, not the parts/geometry or features.
The picture attached shows a serie of holes i've placed manually so you can undestand better. The rectangles are offset evenly outwards.
