Frame Generator 2021 - Offsetting Doesn't Show Direction Anymore
Hi All,
When offsetting a frame in Inventor Professional 2021, we do not know if we are offsetting vertically or horizontally; we would have to guess whether it's in the "A" direction or the "B" direction.
Could we get an update where this changes to show us either on the arrows which direction is "A" or change the terminology back to horizontal or vertical?
FG insert never used vertical / horizontal offset. In general offset orientation depends on part authoring and publish to CC. We can't guarantee the all profiles have same orientation of XY (it also depends on the assembly orientation), so we don't use labels which reference to particular axis or horizontal / vertical orientation.
I would recommend you to work directly with interactive preview, you can move the arrows and create the offset exactly in direction you need. We are planning some improvements of the offset. Stay tuned...
