Editable parametric dimensions / values on 3D model

The parameters in the 3D model (i.e) dimensions & valued may be displayed in appropriate places in the 3D model itself for editing by a click of Icon.

As it is not possible to explain all the parameter in WORDS or by picture in a parameter FORM, But by the above it would be good.

You are going to need to provide a better description/images,etc.. of your idea... Personally its not clear at all what you are talking about..

From what I "assume" you want to be able to edit features and sketches by clicking on the 3d model..

If so this is already possible.. Simply click on any face (for example of an extruded rectangle) and you get icons to edit both the sketch and the feature and to create a new sketch..

I believe what @itdesk.fckcp is requesting is for the parameters driving a model (sketch dimensions, extrusion distances, etc.) to be displayed on the appropriate features of the model itself as a 3D dimension. And these dimensions could be edited to change the respective parameter/feature.

Seems like a reasonable idea to me. I wouldn't be surprised if this has been suggested before using verbiage that's maybe not easy to find with a search. A related idea is this one, but it's for the ability to annotate and pull fabrication dimensions in the 3D model as opposed to the ability to see and edit model parameters in 3D: 3D GD&T Annotations.

It should be noted that the two requests are very different, as the dimensions and parameters used to design/model a part often are, and should be, very different from how the part is dimensioned in order to communicate how to fabricate it. I just wanted to make that statement before someone says that Inventor should just know how to make a fabrication drawing of a part based on how it was modeled.

Overall I like the idea, and I think it could be quite easy for the developers to implement because it's actually already possible, to an extent. You can right-click on any feature and click "Show Dimensions" and Inventor will show all relevant dimensions for the feature, including sketch dimensions and feature parameters (i.e. Extrusion distance). You can even ctrl+click multiple features and do this. So all that's needed is for the developers to add a specific command to show/hide all dimensions for all features.

I have again posted the same IDEA, as I could not able to edit IDEA for adding this image. Please consider My post on 12/09/2016.
