Drawing View Model State Hidden Line Calc. & Line Style Settings via iLogic

It would be very usefull for some users if the following settings were accessable through iLogic.

• Drawing View settings / Model State tab / Refference Data / Hidden Line Calculation settings
• Drawign View settings / Model State tab / Refference Data / Line Style settting

It seems like these settings would most logically be Properties of the DrawingView Object, but what ever makes it happen is fine by me.  Right now, it seems only the ActiveMemberName is accessable within this tab from iLogic.

The inability to alter, or disable, the Displayed edges of Reference Data severely impacts the drawing automation in my company.

I wanted to add another link here to a very similar idea post, that was created about a month earlier than this one, back in late 2019.  It is also requesting access to settings on the same tab of the drawing view dialog as this one.  Perhaps by linking the two, they can benefit from each others interested voters, and help get them both implemented.

Please add these options to the Styles so that this can be set in de Templates.

So every Engineer works with the same setting instead of setting it by iLogic for each drawing.

Please add the ability to access "reference data separately" in the drawing view options model tab. As of now, there is no way to automate changing this setting from the default, as you also can't change the setting in drawing templates. This is preventing adoption of the reference bom structure where I work which means our BOM's are a mess with all sorts of different work arounds.

@JacobPhillips Is this requirement critical in your workflow to have the new APIs? We have not setup a plan for Inventor 2023.5 release yet, but Inventor 2024.2 has already released with the new APIs, will you upgrade to Inventor 2024.2 build?

@YuhanZhang it is critical for 2023 to have this as we have just upgraded to 2023 at our location.

@YuhanZhang  Yes, it would be very helpful for us. We set components to the reference BOM structure because we use a tool that exports the BOM from our drawing and compares it with both the existing BOM in our ERP system and any BOM changes from pending ECOs. We RARELY (<1%) want to show these components as dotted reference lines in our drawings. Right now we have to go into every single drawing view and change these settings because they cannot be changed in our default templates.

At a minimum it would be nice if the default were to show reference parts as parts (solid lines). Allowing the default settings for this to be changed in the templates would also help (as to not make it hard for anyone else who might actually be using dotted lines for all references). And being able to access this through iLogic would also help so we can write a script to change the setting for all drawing views on drawings we've created before this update.
