That may be so, but when you have personally wasted time creating your own involute curves to create a rack the lack of an automated feature suddenly becomes extremely annoying, and expensive in both time and money. I think it would be useful to be able to design/draw a rack to match any pinion drawn. It is simple enough to design the pinion however there is no fascility to create the rack other than to draw the component "long hand"
