Delete all of a particular assembly component by right clicking one instance (right click menu selection)

In large assemblies, it sometimes becomes necessary to delete all of a specific subassembly, weldment, or part. This takes a bit of time to either painstakingly select the component(s) within the view window or feature browser panes, then either hit the keyboard "Delete" key or right click menu select the "delete option. Rinse and repeat for each and every part/assy/weldment instance. Can it be possible for Autodesk to simply add a "Delete All" command under the right click menu whenever an assembly component has been clicked upon, to work similar to the current "Replace All" command?

This is possible for top-level components in the active file (except for elements in the pattern - these should be removed by clicking on the pattern position).

It is not possible for all instances of component in subassemblies of all levels.

@kacper.suchomski  That is not the solution I am seeking. Regardless of whether or not the component(s) needing to be deleted is/are within a pattern, this needs to be a simple single-click solution.

Hi @tstout9GFVP

You can delete all instance in the top-level assembly like @kacper.suchomski said. You will need to delete patterns manually tho but every instance will be selected

You can use this solution :

1- Select 1 instance of the part/assembly you want to delete

2- Shift+RightClick and Select All Occurence

3- Delete (Don't forget if you have patterns, you'll need to delete those first I don't know why this is not possible tho)

If you're talking about deleting every instance of the part in every sub-assembly, no that is not possible.

Hope it help 🙂
