The idea would be create a base part view from the assembly where it is used. For example in a welding assembly you place a part and you get the ITEM NUMBER that you will see in the BOM. When you create the BASE VIEW of your part in the WELDING ASSEMBLY drawing (in another sheet) we wish to identify the view by including its BOM ITEM number. But you are unable to get the BOM ITEM NUMBER, that you may have within the BOM or the balloons because the attribute is not proposed in the view identifier.
Of course this ITEM NUMBER is different if the same part is used within another assembly. Then using the iproperties are not possible in this case.
The idea would be to select the part from the model browser (either in the assembly or in the drawing) and by a right click create a BASE view gathering few information from the assembly that are not stored in any IPROPERTIES but only in BOMs to include in the view.
