Bug Report: iParts / iAssembly / iFactory Table blank due to resolution

Bug-iPart Table blank.jpg

Inventor 2022.3.1

Windows 10

If you are unfamiliar with iParts. Here are the steps to get to the window:

1. Open Inventor.

2. Create a .ipt or .iam.

3. Go to Manage tab.

4. Click Create iPart or Create iAssembly.

5. In the Model Browser, under the file name, you should see table.

6. Right click on Table>Edit.

This is the window I'm pointing out for the bug.

Steps to repeat: With Inventor closed. Change screen resolution to 3840x2160 (4k)... Open Inventor and create/open a iPart / iAssembly file and edit the table. It could be small, adjust the size to fit screen (75% screen size will work). Press OK to close the table window... save and close Inventor. Change your screen resolution to 1920x10180. Open Inventor and open file. Edit the table. Table looks fine until you stretch/adjust the window and you'll see the image above and won't be able to see or do anything with said table... If you're lucky you can stretch the window to recover things but I haven't had that luck yet. The solution is to reverse steps and when at 4k, you have to make the table small on your screen (about 3 inches long x 1 inch tall). Close Inventor, change resolution, relaunch Inventor and things will be fixed. This is the only fix besides Reinstall (which we had to once).

This has happened to my team half a dozen+ times. It happens b/c our laptop screens are 4 or 5k natively. Some of our workers will go home and work and when they return, will stumble into this scenario. This is not a common bug due to the advanced tool/feature this subject is about. This also happened to me recently b/c I went to a remote office and my monitors changed/had problems and reset to 4k. I needed to get something done quickly and left. Then later my windows was messed up.

PS: Reason for the 1920 x 1080 for you 4k fans... it's b/c of these horrible Dell docking stations can't handle splitting the thunderbolt connections to 2 monitors at more than 30hz. So setting all of my monitors to 1920 x 1080 allows me to set the monitors to 50hz.
