Apply Inventor IDW Sketches to specific Layers

When 'sketching' in an IDW in Inventor, you can set the sketch properties in the Sketch mode or afterwards in the sketch properties. However, you can't assign a sketch to a layer. I would like to be able to assign sketches to the layers defined in the styles and standards. Then when creating a sketch you can select the layer to apply the sketch to to automatically define its properties. If the layer settings are later changed then all of the sketches assigned to that layer will also nicely update as well. Currently all sketches are assigned to the 'sketch geometry' layer. So you can't set up one sketch as hidden lines, for ex., and another as visible lines and control them via layers, instead EACH sketch must be controlled and maintained individually. Thats just dumb...

Sadly this is archived.. I have a need to do the same and have seen multiple workarounds on other sites and in the Forums... may not have gotten many votes but a quick search shows there is a need.
