Viewing iProperties in Windows Explorer

And the answer is... yes! ... and no. 

 

I don't believe there is a way to push iProperties to the actual file properties in Explorer. However, the iProperties can be viewed from Windows Explorer using the context menu entry as added by Autodesk:

You can see that information by right mouse clicking on the inventor file, select properties, select the iproperties tab and button..   But I assume you mean you want the information to appear without doing that.

On a side note, you can view and edit iproperties from within windows without Inventor.

 

You can download the free Inventor View and you have the contextual menu in windows explorer.

You can also use Inventor Design Assistant in Windows Explorer to see your preferred iProperties.
