Dear Sirs,
We are studying to buy the Ultimate Suite that includes Inventor, Fusion 360 and other software, but we have a couple of weeks struggling to find a walkthrough for converting a scanned point cloud into a parametric solid. Specifically we are planning to buy a DAVID SLS-2 scanner that exports .obj or .stl point clouds. We are going to scan complex Water Pump Impellers and we need to find a way to build a parametric solid starting with the scanned data.
We have been in touch with the autodesk local representatives, but they don´t have any experience with our problem (Reverse engineering of scanned data). We have watched a bunch of youtube videos but we have been unable to find a solution within Autodesk software.
Please help us finding a solution to our requirement. (Scan the Object -> Proces the point cloud -> extract parametric surfaces and splines -> build the solid)
Thanks for your help!
