Zoom All in assembly, makes model very small

I have a rather large assembly that when I go to zoom all it makes the assembly very small in the center of the screen.

There are no sketches in this file.  All the subassemblies zoom all just fine in their own files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try this:

Zoom into the main view

Create new level of detail

Window Select Everything, right mouse click and select Suppress

Double Click Mouse Wheel to zoom home

(floating) Part should be right there

Do you have any Work or Origin Features turned on? It can be easy to  turn on the origin point and not see it, especially if you are using the white background and the point is yellow.  

Is the assembly grounded on the origin?  It might trying to include the origin if it is off in space.  I just tried this in Inventor 2016, but it only seemed to include it if the origin was visible.

Hmmm  It's not letting me create a new LoD.

No, all work features and the origin on OFF.  The Origin is within the components so it's not off in space somewhere.

If you cannot change the LOD, you could try turning off the visibility.  This should have the same effect offered by Mark.

Turn Visibility off on the 4 components.  There is nothing else there.  

When the Visibility is off, I click Zoom All, turn the Visibility back on and it's zoomed in real close.

Since there are only four components, it would be really simple to turn off the visibility one at a time to find out which one is off in space, or has some artifact way out in space.  It's also possible, particularly with imported components, that the bounding box of the component was miscalculated.

Once you figure out which component is causing the problem, you'll be able to figure out how to fix it.

Sam @SBix26 suggest is the way I would go.

Turn them off one by one, and then hit the zoom all each time. You'll see what one has something WAY out there causing this issue

I’ve seen that happening when there is a surface part (non-solid) somewhere in the assembly – usually originating from a CAD import.

If you find one, try deleting it (just temporarily, without saving, for identification purposes only) and see if the zoom-all is fixed.

Just had this zoom issue ona relatively complex assembly. I tried this technique and about half way down the tree, I came across a work axis that was the offending item. As soon as I turned off visibility, the assembly zoomed full screen. It was impossible to see due to my screen background color, and if you do a select window, I don't think the work features are selected (true?). So anyways, success!!!

My assembly was fine yesterday and today it went quite small when it was zoomed in. Here is what worked for me. I opened up sub-assemblies and tried to zoom them individually until I find an assembly which has problem.

In that assembly, I right clicked on each part and clicked "Find in window". This way I found the part or pattern that was zooming out very small.

Then I deleted that pattern and the component. Assembly came back to normal. I reattached the part and did the pattern.

It were the mates of the part which went quite OFF and created zooming issue.
