Why does my recipient receive this as 7+ files when I export as one .STP file?

Can someone please help me figure out what I did wrong in the re-building of this part to change it from a simple solid part before I throw this computer out the window???

Exported your file to STEP and import in Inventor.  Only 1 solid.

Did you really really re-build this part (there are numerous rather obvious issues that can be observed simply by examining the geometry)?

If you did, can you attach the original part here?

Ahh, I just read this thread.

You should have been here every day for the last 6 mths asking questions.

My guess is that now you will have a lot of poor modeling habits developed that will be difficult to break.

This is a receiving end's bug. There is only one solid body in the part. However, there are several non-manifold edges (an edge shared by more than two faces) on the original imported body. Inventor can handle this kind of edges properly. However, the receiving side of CAD does not like it.

What is the receiving CAD system? Where did you get the imported part? If I were you, I would recreate the whole part from scratch in Inventor. The part as is right now cannot be manufactured.

Many thanks!

@Anonymous,

Do a Half Section view of your part - what do you observe?
