Hello,

I have a question.

I have never used Autodesk Inventor and I would like to learn how to use it.

The question is which version of Inventor will my laptop configuration support?

These are the specifications of my laptop:
Intel i5-6200U 2.3 GHz 2.4 GHz
RAM 8 GB (7.71 GB usable)

Intel(R) HD Graphics 520
VRAM 128 Mb

Hard disk is 1TB, 5400 RPM

Windows 10 Pro

These are the system requirements for Inventor versions:

Inventor 2020: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/pt-br/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/PTB/System-require...

Inventor 2019 : https://knowledge.autodesk.com/pt-br/support/inventor-products/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdca...

Inventor 2018: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/pt-br/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/PTB/System-require...

Inventor 2017: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/pt-br/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/PTB/System-require...

I believe that your notebook can work normally with version 2020, I believe that you will have difficulty rendering or making large assemblies with more than 500 parts, but to start learning, it must work perfectly.

If you keep it really basic then 2020 will be fine, the versions are pretty similar as hardware hasn't changed significantly in the past couple of years. 2021 will be out soon.

The main issue will be with your VRAM of which Inventor requires 1GB which means you may run into issues fast if you use textures etc.

CPU speed may be a concern as 2.5GHZ is pretty slow.

Overall you might be able to run some small parts and assemblies but don't expect too much.
