Which download link to use in Virtual Agent for Inventor Pro download

Hi All 🙂

A simple question: the Virtual Agent at:

  http://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/software-downloads/download-method...

contains a lot of links to Inventor products. But its not clear to me, at least, which of these download links corresponds to the "Inventor Pro" product.

Anyone that knows of a list that maps the Inventor product names to the links in the Virtual Agent ?

Hi there and welcome to the Autodesk Community!

For some reason it's not in there, you're correct! You can download the 2015 version through the Autodesk Inventor Professional trial page or if you need a previous version please let me know. Thanks!

I could be wrong - but I think the serial number determines the functionality. 

Download the desired year of Inventor and it will run for 30-day trial as Pro.

If you purchase a serial number - the serial number will determine the function level.

Thanks for the quick response.

1) Re. using the link on the "Autodesk Inventor Professional trial page", well, tried that and could not get the download program to work (got various error alerts related to connection problems). I then googled around and found out that Autodesk support very often recommend using the Virtual Agent as a alternative means of downloading, so I wanted to try that, but the links vere missing 😞

2) Another poster on the forum suggested that I should just download the whole product and that the registration information would automatically congfigure the Inventor product to be the "Inventer Pro" version, is this correct ?

Hi @johnclaesson,

@JDMather got me on this one! Download the available product on the Virtual Agent and then activate the product using your assigned serial number and product key for Inventor Professional and then the activation will determine the version.

when i try to download inventor it never fully installs and says communication with autodesk servers failure. please help?
