When isolating a single part in an assembly, some other patterned parts are also isolated. Is this a bug?

I'm trying to isolate single parts in an assembly. I first make sure I'm only selecting one part, using the "select part priority" option, then clicking a single part, then clicking "isolate". For some reason the part I selected as well as a few other parts are all isolated together. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the other parts are patterned and in a subassembly with the selected part, but I don't understand why they are visible. 

The files are related in the following manner in the assembly:

• Main assembly
  • Subassembly with the patterned parts
    • Subassembly with the part I wanted to isolate

Hi! The behavior does not look right to me. Try something real quick. Activate LOD:Master and repeat the steps. Do those pattern members show up? Please share the files with me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

I tried it in the "Master" LOD, and the issue still persisted. Strangely enough, it was still only those three parts that were incorrectly included in the isolate operation. I also tried it in Inventor 2020, thinking that maybe this was changed in a future version of Inventor, but the same issue kept happening.

Unfortunately, I'm not authorized to send our models to you without approval from our template manager, but while I wait to hear back from him, I can try making a dummy model to see if I can replicate it, and maybe send you that.

Hi Tyler,

Another trick to try. Activate LOD:All Comps Suppressed and then activate LOD:Master -> Rebuild All. Does it help?

I tried setting it to all comps suppressed, then master, rebuilding, made sure all file references were up-to-date and functional, assembly health was fine, but the same issue persisted.

Conclusion:

It's looking like it's part-specific and doesn't likely have anything to do with patterning or level of detail. I'm going to just remake the problem part from scratch and that should fix it. Thanks for looking into this.
