When importing autocad drawing to Inventor, I cannot extrude drawing.

It says the typical no valid closed region error.

Does Autocad not constrain drawings automatically?

I find it a lot easier to draw in Autocad. It be nice if I could import my drawings to inventor and then start extruding.

However that solution is not working because I always get no valid closed region errors from the autocad drawing I imported. What is causing this problem and how do I fix it?

It all depends on how you made your drawing in AutoCAD..  If you didn't use object snaps you could just be eye-balling it.. 

If you can, share your AutoCAD drawing here so we can take a look at it and see what the geometry consist of

In addition you need to learn how to sketch in Inventor and do the entire workflow inside of inventor and now work with 2 CAD applications.   Yes you may be familiar with AutoCAD and it may be easier..  But you have to learn and make that fully transition.

I...just figured it out. When I import my autocad drawing, there is checkbox option asking me to carry over the constraints.

Of course I didn't eyeball it! What's the point of autocad if all you do is eyeball lol.
