What is the reason for my inventor is soo slow?

We can 2 almost identical. and have almost the same software installe. 

 

but one of then take maybe 3 sekunde just to click on an contain .. the othere one it do it with no delay.

 

what can cause this ? and how do i fix it ?

If my VPN drops it's slows to a crawl.

no , both Working on the same 1Gbit cable  network with the server about 15 meter away

What hardware are you running?

If you take a look at task manager are there any background processes hogging resources?

Are you using a 3D Connexion device.

If yes, try unplugging it - does Inventor now work as expected?

If yes, plug it back in and run the Calibration.

Hi! Make sure all the critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Also, the applicable Inventor updates are installed. Also clean up %temp%.

1) How do these machines access files? Locally or shared network drive? Any PDM system?

2) Where are the appearance and material library located? Locally or shared network drive?

3) Is one of them running non-Autodesk Add-In?

4) Do the two users have the similar user profile?

5) What Inventor license is the user using (network or user-based)?

6) Try disabling anti-virus or network security tool temporarily and see if it works faster.
