What centermark style are you using?

I'm defaulting to ANSI but I hate it. I already reduced dimension text to 0.094 inch (apparently this is the minimum accepted size for govt bidding so something of an accepted standard) but I'm used to seeing centermarks with a "+" in the middle and I never seem to work at a drawing scale where these actually show correctly (here size D, 1/36 scale)

 

Here's the standard ANSI:

And what else would people advise changing in styles editor to match a tighter text/annotation format like I'm trying to do

(Or where can I find the standards for govt bids other posts online were referencing when I found the 0.094 inch recommended other places, that would define the aspects of the style)

- Right click on CM > Edit > uncheck Extension Lines

- align your CM to that diagonal edge shown using the same edit command (Align to Edge).  That often helps with clarity & presentation.
