vault folder issues

hi guys. I'm having major issues with vault atm. I've renamed a folder in my workspace without really thinking about the effects this would have on vault. I've gone into vault and 
"remapped" the folder using the change function as below. Now when I open the working folder it redirects to the correct renamed folder however the parts within that folder seem to still be linked to the old folder name. when opening one of my master models i get the message saying that i do not have the files in my workspace. its looking for files within "BBA STANDARD PARTS" rather than the renamed "10. BBA STANDARD PARTS" it also seems I've lost a lot of progress on some other models. It seems i wont be able to get that progress back but can I at least get a solution for the confused parts?

If you want to change the name of a folder, it is recommended that you change the folder name in the vault together with the local working folder name. Or after checking the file into the vault, delete the local copy, change the folder name in the vault, and then retrieve the file from the vault.

The vault folder structure needs to be consistent with the local working folder structure.
