Vault Content Centre Families in Studs category will not Publish (Inventor 2024.4)

I have just found that all of my 20 previously published Content Centre Families in the Studs category will no longer publish, so I cannot edit, copy or correct any of them. This is totally isolated to this category, with all others still working properly.

There is no problem with any of the 20 families if I use desktop content, and all 20 were previously created by copying an existing family and editing the tables while they were Vault content with no issues.

Now when I try do do anything with them I just get the super helpful CCUI error could not publish. How do I find out what the problem is and how do i correct this so it cannot happen again as I need all of these families to work?

Hi James,

it's not reproducible on our side. Could you please share with us you Vault custom library with all these "Content Centre Families in the Studs category" + info about Vault version/build you have installed ? We will look at it what happened there. Here is my contact email : roman.vesely@autodesk.com

Is there a solution for this?
I've got the exact same problem (Inventor 2025.3.2).

I sent all my files to Autodesk for them to look at this. Not had any response back from them as yet.
The only way I could find to do anything with those families was to transfer the whole library to desktop content, edit it there. Then delete the library entire from Vault and re-import it. then switch back to Vaulted Content
Note that this did not correct the issue, it just allowed me to edit the broken Families - as soon as I reverted to the Vaulted content all the broken families were still broken.

Hi James,

unfortunately we don't have any workaround here other than transfer this library from Vault to Desktop Content and do necessary edits there. We have logged INVGEN-87971 issue to track this case.

Hi,

I have the same problem (Vault 2024.4.3). Even the names don't show up when I make a copy of the studs family. And I see that this problem is not consistent either.

Did someone find a fix for this?

Kind regards,

Prudhvi

Move to 2026, Problem solved itself seemingly.
Alternatively: You'll have to copy the library to desktop content. Make your edits there. Then delete the library from vault. Then copy the library back to vault.
