Using Visual Style 'Technical Illustration' in drawings

Hi,

When creating a part or assembly I can choose for the 'Technical Illustration' visual style which is exactly what I need for my manuals. However within a drawing there is no possibility to choose a visual style, or is there?

Nope..

But you can use the standard "Shaded" view style set in the base view options when creating the views.. Thats the best you are going to get..

If you want something more like technical illustration I suggest taking screenshots (images) from the part/assembly environment and using those in your manuals..

Hi! Indeed, like Brian mentioned, there is no way to change the shading style or the lighting style in shaded drawing views at the moment. We have heard similar requirements but we have not found a good solution yet.

Many thanks!

Is there maybe already a solution for this?

yeah, still don't really see the point of having a "technical shaded" view if you can't use it in drawings, same goes for the other visual styles.

Yes, you can export an image of the 3D environment, but what if you need to add annotations or use it in an exploded view presentation drawing?

This needs to be added. Why have a style called "Technical Illustration" if you can't use it in an illustration? It would be very useful for showing parts with multiple coatings.
