Using Direct Edit to non-uniformly scale a part with a small-scale value

I want to scale the part in X direction in 0.9, Y direction in 1 and Z direction in 1.1. However, after scaled the part, I measure the sizes in X and Z direction, it does not change. When I change the scale from 1.1 to 1.2 and 0.9 to 0.8. The size changed. I attached my file here. I am using Invnetor 2025

You can try to do this operation sequentially:
Set the coefficient for x - 0.9, "Apply",
then for z - 1.1, "Apply"...

Very strange behavior of the model.

With a coefficient of 0.9 for x and 1.1 (for y and/or z) the model rotates instead of scaling (Inventor 2025.3).

If x is not 0.9, then everything is fine...

Yes, X scale cannot be 0.9. When I changed to 0.8999999, everything is fine

This problem is also in version 2021+ and up to 2026

Hi! This is a bug. It seems to have something to do with the sum of the non-uniformed scaled factors. For example, set X = 0.8, Y = 1, and Z = 1.2. The body will also flip. I will work with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks!
