Use 3d /2d Sketch to create a segment - cable and harness

Hi Inventor 🙂

When using Tube and pipe there is command called derived route  - I can use Sketch I made in advance to create the route (tube/pipe)

At Cable and harness - to create a segment  - do we have a similar command ?

I can create a points in parts in the segment route , but the tube and pipe command is better . To create the segment we need to RMB - edit offset or snap to points in the way , but the path can be complicated and we need to hide part or create a section .

regards

Hi @eladm,

You could just place a sketch part in the cable and harness assembly.

Then you can also edit the sketch outside the cable and harness assembly.

With sketch part I mean you can make a 3D sketch in a part environment.

Save that 3D sketch as an ipt file and insert it in the assembly.

Tobias
