Dumb question here...

When updating from Inventor Pro 2018 to Inventor Pro 2019...is it best to uninstall 2018 first, before installing 2019?

Thanks,

you do not need uninstall 2018 to install 2019

As long as you have the hard drive space leave both..

There are many times you may still want to access 2018 settings or whatever other reason..

Just realize that files created/migrated to newer versions cannot be directly openeded/edited by older versions anymore.. You can reference them thought with the appropriate updates to the older program version.. (example you need 2018.3 to open 2019 files)

Hi! All different releases of Inventor/LT can be installed side-by-side and co-exist on the same machine as long as you have enough hard drive space.

Many thanks!
