updating drawings

I am trying to update my drawings after changing my parts via an excel spread sheet, it seem the only way to update them is to open each drawing and save it. Is there a better, faster way.

task scheduler could batch update them..

No guarantees that "something" won't change or be deleted,etc... though during the update..
